Paul Rudy is a composer, sound practitioner, educator, and self-described Resonaut—an explorer of resonance. His work brings together acoustic and electronic music, environmental listening, guided meditation, audience participation, and more than three decades of creative research into attention and relationship. He is a professor at the University of Missouri–Kansas City Conservatory and the caretaker of Harmony Farm, a 70-acre listening environment in northeast Kansas. His recent projects include The Field is Listening and Time Seeds: A Prairie Cosmogram, a multichannel sound installation created for the exhibition Listening to the Land.
